Product Description
Bosch Rexroth’s IndraDrive drive system is an engineering masterpiece designed to solve several automation challenges. The MSK synchronous servo motors in this system are compact, high-performance units suitable for applications like food processing and packaging machines, machine tools, robotics, and metal forming machines.
The MSK100A-0450-NN-M2-BG0-RNNN is a model of the synchronous servo motors in Bosch Rexroth’s MSK series. It features a multiturn absolute encoder with the EnDat 2.1 interface for the precise detection of its position and for speed control. This encoder evaluates the motor’s absolute, indirect position within 4,096 mechanical motor rotations and has a system accuracy of ±20 angular seconds. Since it uses the optical measuring principle, high-level precision is guaranteed. The MSK servo motor is cooled by natural convection, transferring heat to the ambient air and the walls of the machine construction. It also has a plain output shaft with a shaft sealing ring to provide a non-positive shaft-hub connection with zero backlash. Its sealing ring is designed per DIN 3760 – design A.
Operating the MSK100A-0450-NN-M2-BG0-RNNN under poor environmental conditions without the risk of damage is made possible by its sealed housing. It is dustproof, touch-proof, and resistant to the penetration of water jet sprays; hence, its Ingress Protection rating is IP 65 per EN 60529. There are two independent temperature monitoring systems that prevent damage due to thermal overload in this MSK motor: the temperature model and the temperature sensor. The sensor is the KTY84 type and is built into its stator windings to initiate protective measures at specified threshold values. To ensure its optimum long-term use, the servo motor should be operated at a maximum ambient temperature of 40oC.
