Product Description
Bosch Rexroth is an expert designer of versatile drive and motion control units suitable for just about any application. The company’s MSK motors are powerful servo motors with optical encoder systems and high torque density. These synchronous servo motors can be used for applications beyond the standard for similar products.
The MSK100A-0450-NN-M1-LP0-NNNN is a self-cooling servo motor in the MDD series with a maximum attainable speed of 6,000 revolutions per minute. It supports cooling via natural convection, where heat is exchanged with the ambient air in a process driven by temperature differences. This motor also has a thermal sensor built into its stator windings to prevent irreversible damage caused by thermal overload. Its multiturn absolute encoder with the Hiperface interface records the motor’s absolute, indirect position within 4,096 mechanical motor rotations. The encoder uses the optical measuring system to achieve excellent precision and has a system accuracy of ±80 angular seconds. It also comes with a data memory where important parameters like the motor type name and its control loop parameters are stored to reduce its startup time and allow its risk-free adaption to the drive controller.
Coated with a black (RAL9005) 2K epoxy resin coating based on epoxy polyamide resin in water, the MSK100A-0450-NN-M1-LP0-NNNN is resistant to sewage, dilute acids, current mineral oils, and seawater. Its housing’s Ingress Protection rating is IP 65 per EN 60529 as it is completely sealed, supporting its safe use in poor environmental conditions. The motor’s output shaft is one with a keyway according to DIN 6885-1 to provide form-fitting torque transmission and a shaft sealing ring. It should be operated at a maximum ambient temperature of 40oC.
