Product Description
Compact servo motors like those in the MSK series have numerous advantages, including simplified installation and high torque density. These motors are components of the Rexroth IndraDrive drive system with impressive flexibility, allowing them to be used for applications beyond the standard for regular servo motors.
The MSK100A-0450-NN-M1-BP1-NNNN is an MSK synchronous servo motor with high-level resistance to dilute acids, alkaline solutions, current mineral oils, and seawater. This is because it is coated with a black (RAL9005) 2K epoxy resin coating based on epoxy polyamide resin in water. Its coat also offers a measure of resistance to hydraulic oils and organic solvents. Another protective feature of the servo motor is its sealed housing with an Ingress Protection rating of IP 65 in line with EN 60529. It is touch-proof, dustproof, and safe from the penetration of water jet sprays from different directions. There is a thermal sensor in its stator windings to monitor its temperature and prevent damage due to thermal overload. This gives it high operational reliability.
Cooling occurs via natural convection in the MSK100A-0450-NN-M1-BP1-NNNN. It involves the transfer of heat from the motor to the ambient air and the walls of the machine construction by conduction. The motor’s integrated encoder is a multiturn absolute encoder with the Hiperface interface. It records its absolute, indirect position within 4,096 mechanical motor rotations and uses the optical measuring system. This encoder also has a system accuracy of ±80 angular seconds and replaces separate incremental encoders. The maximum speed of this MSK model is 6,000 revolutions per minute. Its output shaft is the type with a keyway per DIN 6885-1 and a protective shaft sealing ring.
