Product Description
MSK075E-0300-NN-M3-UG0-NNNN is a Bosch Rexroth servo motor. It is equipped with a capacitive multiturn absolute encoder. A multiturn absolute encoder is a type of encoder that provides a unique and absolute position measurement over multiple turns of the motor shaft. Unlike incremental encoders, which only provide relative position information, absolute encoders maintain their position information even after a power loss or system shutdown. A multiturn absolute encoder typically uses a capacitive or optical mechanism to track the number of turns made by the motor shaft, and a high-resolution absolute encoder to track the exact position within each turn. This information is then combined to provide a continuous and accurate representation of the shaft's position over multiple turns. Multiturn absolute encoders are commonly used in applications where precise and accurate position information is required over a large range of motion, such as in industrial automation, machine tool control, and robotics.
These encoders are also useful in applications where the shaft position must be maintained after a power loss, as they provide an absolute position reference that does not need to be reset or calibrated. Bosch provides holding brakes as an optional item for MSK motors. However, the MSK075E-0300-NN-M3-UG0-NNNN motor does not feature a holding brake. A servo controller provides power to the motor through a power cable. The power connector on the motor is a 240-degree rotatable connector. The motor has a plain shaft with a shaft seal. Cooling methods supported by the motor include convection cooling and surface cooling. Optimal performance requires 0 to 40 degrees Celsius ambient temperature. The housing of the motor has a standard design. The sealed housing and sealed cable connectors combine to give the motor an excellent IP65 protection rating.
