Product Description
Servo motors such as those in the MSK series have a wide range of applications in solving factory automation challenges. The synchronous servo motors are versatile and can be customized to suit users’ preferences by the addition of various options. Blower units can also be mounted when they are used for high-performance applications. Typically, they are used as rotary and servo main motors in metal-forming machines, machine tools, robotics, and printing and paper processing machines.
The MSK071D-0300-NN-M2-UP1-RNNN is a model of the MSK series of synchronous motors designed and manufactured by Bosch Rexroth. It has four pole pairs and is equipped with a multiturn absolute encoder with the EnDat 2.1 interface. The encoder controls the motor’s speed and position by providing appropriate signals to the drive controller. It also features a data storage where relevant information like the motor type name and control loop parameters are stored. This ensures that the motor can be started rapidly and its risk-free adaptation to the drive controller. The system accuracy of this encoder is ±20 angular seconds.
A temperature sensor of the KTY84 type is built into the stator of the MSK071D-0300-NN-M2-UP1-RNNN to monitor its temperature. Another independently operating system called the temperature model also monitors the motor’s temperature, and together, they prevent damage due to thermal overload. The electrically-released holding brake of 23Nm holding torque in this motor holds the axes at a standstill when the machine is de-energized. It has a rated voltage of 24V and a connection time of 130ms. According to EN 60529, the protection class of this MSK model is IP 65, meaning that it is impermeable by solid extrinsic objects and water jet sprays.
