The Rexroth IndraDrive drive system by the company is composed of servo motors, frequency converters, drive controllers, etc. One of the servo motor series in the system is the MSK family of synchronous motors. These compact motors are used as rotary and servo main motors in machine tools, food processing and packaging machines, printing and paper processing machines, metal-forming machines, and robotics.

The MSK071D-0300-NN-M2-UG1-RNNN is one of the self-cooled motors in Bosch Rexroth’s MSK series. It utilizes natural convection for its cooling by the transfer of heat to the ambient air and the walls of the machine. It has four pole pairs and can reach a maximum speed of 3,800 revolutions per minute. This motor is equipped with an encoder with the multiturn configuration and an EnDat 2.1 interface for position detection and speed control. The encoder uses the optical measurement method to carry out its function and has a system accuracy of ±20 angular seconds.

Machine elements to be driven can be connected to the drive shafts of the MSK071D-0300-NN-M2-UG1-RNNN using a plain shaft with a shaft sealing ring. It allows a non-positive shaft-hub connection with zero backlash and promotes the noiseless operation of the motor. There is also a holding brake here for holding the axes at a standstill when the machine is de-energized. It has a holding torque of 23Nm and a voltage rating of 24V.
