The MSK synchronous motor series are characterized by high dynamics, high torque density, and high precision due to their new optical encoder systems. These motors have a compact design that allows a wide range of applications. They differ based on their driving powers and interfaces. The control sections are used in machine tools, robotics, food processing and packaging machines, and printing and paper-processing machines.

The optical encoder system of the MSK071D-0300-NN-M1-UP1-NNNN is the multiturn absolute encoder with the Hiperface interface. This encoder has an inbuilt data memory to store the motor's parameters, encouraging seamless startup. The motor is fitted with a shaft with a keyway and radial shaft sealing ring that prevents fluid entering the shaft. The radial shaft sealing is designed according to the requirements of DIN 3760 - Design A. Heat is dissipated via natural convection into ambient air and by heat conduction onto the machine structure.

The MSK071D-0300-NN-M1-UP1-NNNN has a holding brake that operates on the principle of electrical release and has a torque of 23Nm. The holding brake holds the servo axes at a standstill when the machine is in a de-energized state. This motor has two electrical connections, the power connector and the encoder connector. The connection for the holding brake is part of the power connector. The motor is also operated maintenance-free due to its Ingress protection class of IP 65. Its protection rating means that it is completely protected against damage from shock, penetration of dust, and water jets from different directions.
