Product Description
The MSK synchronous motors is a collection of dynamic servo motors designed by Bosch Rexroth. These motors have a compact construction and high torque density. With the inclusion of modern optical encoder systems, MSK motors are well suited to operations requiring a high degree of precision. The MSK motors can be used as linear drives, kit motors, as well as rotary main and servo drives. In addition, they are used in machine tools, metal-forming machine tools, printing and paper processing machines, packaging and foodstuff machines.
The MSK071C-0450-NN-M1-UG0-NNNN is an MSK motor of size 071. It has a multiturn absolute optical encoder with a system accuracy of ±80 angular seconds. This encoder system enables the detection of the absolute, indirect position in less than 4096 mechanical rotations. Also, it permits the storage of the absolute position of the axis despite a voltage switch off. Typical of other motors in this series, it uses the flange socket RLS1201 as an electrical connection. This MSK motor has a plain output shaft with a radial shaft sealing ring. During operation, it generates friction and is susceptible to wear and tear. Rexroth recommends the use of ample lubrication to prevent friction-induced damage.
The MSK071C-0450-NN-M1-UG0-NNNN uses natural convection as a cooling method; therefore, it is a self-cooling motor. During a mechanical standstill, the axis of this motor cannot be clamped due to the absence of a holding brake. For transport scenarios, a dry and clean environment with a temperature range of -25° C to +75° C is recommended to keep the motor functioning. In addition, the device is to remain in its protective sleeves, which may only be removed before assembling the motor.
