The MSK071C-0450-FN-S1-UP0-NNNN is a digital servo motor. It is developed by Bosch for industrial and commercial applications such as robotics, machine tools, printing machines and food-processing machines. The MSK series of motors is compatible with a wide range for controllers including DDS controllers. The controllers provide power to the motor. The controllers also control motor parameters such as speed, torque and position. The MSK071C-0450-FN-S1-UP0-NNNN features an integrated single-turn encoder. The encoder supports Hiperface, which is a protocol for motor feedback systems. The maximum encoder speed is 12000 RPM. The encoder draws 60 milliamps current and operates at 7 to 12 Volts DC. The shaft on the MSK071C-0450-FN-S1-UP0-NNNN motor has a keyway and a seal. Shaft keys and keyways are used to transfer torque from shafts to mechanical elements such as gear and pulleys via a keyed joint.
