Product Description
The Bosch MSK071C-0300-NN-M2-UG1-RNNN is a synchronous motor. MSK motors support a wide range of options including multiple encoders and holding brakes. In addition to the various encoder systems, numerous other options such as keyway, holding brake and increased concentricity can be selected. The MSK071C-0300-NN-M2-UG1-RNNN features a housing that is designed for increased concentricity and run out. The motor also features an optional holding brake and an encoder. The holding brake on the MSK071C-0300-NN-M2-UG1-RNNN is rated for 23 Nm holding torque. It is designed to release the motor shaft and allow it to rotate only after a 24 Volts DC release signal is applied. The motor encoder is an optical multiturn absolute EnDat 2.1 with 2048 signal periods. The shaft on the motor is plain and includes a sealing ring.
The combination of the shaft seal, sealed connectors and sealed housing lead to IP65 protection rating for the motor. The motor is therefore totally dust proof. The motor is also protected from low-pressure water jets that may be directed at it from any direction. Cooling method for which the MSK071C-0300-NN-M2-UG1-RNNN is designed is natural convection. This cooling method relies on the flow of ambient air for heat dissipation. Ambient air can flow freely if there is sufficient space between equipment that is installed close to each other. Surface cooling (forced air cooling) can also be used for motor heat dissipation. This cooling method relies on airflow that is created by cooling flans or blowers. Torque and current output of the MSK071C-0300-NN-M2-UG1-RNNN motor depends on the cooling method that is used. Compared to natural convection, the motor delivers higher torque with surface cooling. Liquid cooled MSK motor are also available.
