Product Description
Numerous factory automation challenges can be solved using drive systems by Bosch Rexroth. One of these is the Rexroth IndraDrive drive system with components like the MSK series of motors. The motors have a high torque density and are characterized by their compact size. They typically serve as rotary main and servo drive motors in robotics, machine tools, printing and paper-processing machines, packaging and food-processing machines, and metal-forming machines.
The MSK070E-0450-NN-M2-UP1-RNNN is a Bosch Rexroth servo motor model in the MSK series. It is a synchronous motor with a maximum speed of 6,000 revolutions per minute and a maximum torque of 60.0Nm. Equipped with an optical encoder with the multi-turn configuration, the position of this motor can be detected within 4,096 mechanical motor rotations. The encoder also eliminates the need for a separate absolute value encoder unit and preserves the absolute position of the axis even after a switch-off. To dissipate heat, this motor utilizes natural convection but can work with fan units when operations with high repetition rates are required.
There are six pole pairs in the MSK070E-0450-NN-M2-UP1-RNNN. It is dust-proof, touch-proof, and impervious to the entry of water jets sprayed from all directions. Hence, its Ingress Protection rating is IP 65 according to EN 60529. It can be operated maintenance-free within the permitted operating conditions, ensuring a cost-effective operation. With the built-in holding brake of 23Nm holding torque, the servo axis can be clamped when the machine is de-energized. To achieve a non-positive shaft-hub connection with zero backlash and a high degree of quiet running, this MSK motor is also equipped with a plain shaft with a shaft sealing ring.
