MSK040C-0600-NN-M1-UG1-NNNN is a servo motor. It is a product of Bosch Rexroth. The motor is equipped with a multiturn encoder for position and speed measurements. During operation, the encoder makes continuous measurements of motor parameters. The motor sends this information ? known as feedback ? to the motor controller. In addition to controlling motor parameters, the motor controller provides electrical power for the motor. The power cable carrying electrical power connects to a 240-degree rotatable connector on the motor housing. Bosch has designed the MSK040C-0600-NN-M1-UG1-NNNN with a housing that is suited to convection cooling. Optimal servo motor performance is only possible when the ambient temperature is between 0 and 40 degrees Celsius and when the site elevation is less than 1000 meters. During operation, the relative humidity should be between 5 and 95%. The maximum permitted temperature rate of change is 0.5 degrees Celsius per minute.
For motor transport, the permitted temperature is -20 to 80 degrees Celsius. Occurrence of salt mist is not permitted. For storage, the permitted temperature is -20 to 60 degrees Celsius. During storage, the motor must be protected from condensation, ice formation, direct solar radiation and salt mist. The MSK040C-0600-NN-M1-UG1-NNNN motor has a plain shaft. A sealing ring is installed on the motor shaft. An optional holding brake is also installed on the motor. This is an electrically released brake that allows shaft rotation after receiving a 24 Volts DC release signal. MSK motors have IP65 rated housings that provide robust ingress protection. With these housings, MSK motors can be installed in a wide range of operating conditions. Only trained personnel with proper qualifications should be allowed to operate the motor.
