Product Description
The MSK040B-0450-NN-M1-UP1-NNNN model is a synchronous type servomotor manufactured by Rexroth Indramat. With this motor, the design goals of enhanced torque-speed performance, portability, compactness and efficiency is achieved.
The motor comes in a standard housing design and it weighs 3.1kg (including holding brake weight). According to its ‘040B’ code, it has a frame length of 155.5mm and a rotor length of 30mm. The flange is 82mm, and it’s centering diameter is 50mm. It has similar specifications as other MSK motors with the ‘0450’ winding code. The motor can generate a torque of 1.7Nm continuously at standstill, and up to 5.2Nm of maximum permissible torque at working speed; however, the maximum torque generation is limited to a short 40ms duration. Continuously generating maximum torque beyond this limit could generate too much heat for the motor, causing automatic shutdown. The motor is fast, at 6000min-1, and has a rotor moment of inertia of 1×10-4 kgm2.
During operation, it produces a sound pressure level below 75db, which is slightly above the loudness of normal human conversation. The motor has the following custom features: It uses the natural convection method for heat dissipation/cooling; It employs a very accurate positional feedback: an optical encoder, multiturn hyperface with 128 increments. The output ports are 240 o rotatable power connector and encoder output plugs. The rotor shaft comes with keys and keyways according to DIN6885-1 specifications, including shaft sealing rings. Finally, it has the holding brake feature: electrically released, with 4Nm of holding torque. This ensures the motor is standstill at the signal of the drive controller. Based on the custom features offered by the MSK040B-0450-NN-M1-UP1-NNNN motor, it is easily recommended for operations that require precision in motion, and efficiency of torque delivery.
