Product Description
The MS2N04-B0BNN-CSDG0-NNNNN-NN from Rexroth comes with a single-turn absolute encoder required for shaft positioning. This AC synchronous motor is designed for low torque robotics applications while providing a high-speed rating of 6000 rotations per minute as the maximum speed while generating a maximum torque of 6.4 Nm. To operate this particular motor, a compatible power supply module with an operating voltage rating of 179 to 475 volts AC is required with an input voltage frequency of 50 to 60 Hz.
To ensure this servo does not get too hot during high-speed operations, the MS2N04-B0BNN-CSDG0-NNNNN-NN relies on the ambient air, which helps cool the servo body. Using the convection cooling method, helps keep the mechanicals of the servo motor below the maximum recommended temperature, which is between 0 to 45 degrees Celsius for the safe operation range. To sense the temperature of the servo motor, the MS2N04-B0BNN-CSDG0-NNNNN-NN comes with a PT1000 temperature sensor, which is placed near the motor coil and has a high resolution. If the motor temperature is close to 140 degrees Celsius, using the ACURO Link communication protocol, this servo motor will send a warning message to the motor controller. If the temperature exceeds 145 degrees Celsius, the MS2N04-B0BNN-CSDG0-NNNNN-NN will automatically shut itself down to ensure safe operation of the servo motor.
Using the ACURO LINK encoder protocol, the MS2N04-B0BNN-CSDG0-NNNNN-NN exchanges data with the motor controller using 20-bit message packets which include the shaft position, the current temperature of the coil, CRC bits, and checksum bits along with other important information needed to run the servo motor smoothly.
