Product Description
With a speed rating of 3000 rpm nominal, the MS2N04-B0BNN-CMSK1-NNNNN-NN from Rexroth is a high-speed AC servo motor that runs at the synchronous speed design. In this motor design, the rotor of the motor rotates at the same speed as the magnetic field created by the stator, providing a constant speed. A synchronous motor is perfect for controlling the power factor of a power system by adjusting the exciting current of the rotor.
At a high speed of 6000 rpm, this servo motor draws around 4.9 amperes of current while being operated between 170 to 480 volts AC. This servo motor comes with an IP 65 protection rating that helps keep the motor dry against low levels of moisture such as light rain or dew. The Ingress Protection is also capable of keeping the servo motor safe from high levels of dust, preventing it from being embedded into the motor housing and affecting the overall performance of the servo motor. This servo motor series comes with a shaft seal ring to keep the motor protected from the front and to also prevent lubrication oil from being spilled out the front end of the motor.
With the ACURO Link encoder communication protocol, the MS2N04-B0BNN-CMSK1-NNNNN-NN can not only use the data collected by the multiturn absolute encoder attached to it for positioning of the shaft but can also transmit the temperature data of the motor coil over to the motor controller to ensure the servo motor does not get too hot with continuous operation. The ACURO Link uses a 20-bit data packet that contains both the position and the temperature bits along with CRC and Checksum bits for error detection.
