The MS2N04-B0BNN-CMDG1-NNNNN-NN is designed for applications that require high-speed motors such as packaging, production, textile, and robotics. This motor offers a fast rotation speed of 6000 rpm while operating at normal operating conditions. The MS2N04-B0BNN-CMDG1-NNNNN-NN can produce a speed of 3000 rpm. At 20 degrees Celsius operating temperature, this servo motor is capable of outputting a torque of 6.4 Nm while at 100 kelvin change in the ambient temperature, this motor can reduce its output torque to 5.9 Nm, hence using it in the recommended operating temperature of 0 degrees Celsius to 45 degrees Celsius is always recommended.
To ensure the motor's temperature is within its operating temperature range, the MS2N04-B0BNN-CMDG1-NNNNN-NN also comes with a PT 1000 RTD temperature sensor connected to the coil of the servo motor to make sure the motor does not exceed the maximum critical operating temperature limit. At a temperature of 140 degrees Celsius, the MS2N04-B0BNN-CMDG1-NNNNN-NN servo motor will display the warning sign on the motor controller while crossing the 145 degrees Celsius temperature threshold would trigger the SIL 2 safety protocol which will isolate the motor from the supply, disconnecting it to ensure the motor coil remains protected and does not burn out.
This motor has a low inertia design with an inertia rating of 0.00011 kgm2 and it also comes with a holding brake of torque 5 Nm. This holding brake has a dynamic braking torque of 4.5 Nm and requires 24 volts DC to operate and has a current requirement of 0.63 amperes. The motor brake clamps the shaft of the motor with a delay of 30 ms while it takes 45 ms for the brake to release the shaft after clamping it to ensure safe release of the motor shaft.
