Product Description
Rexroth Bosch's MS2N03-D0BYN-CSSK1-NNNNN-NN is a synchronous motor. Synchronous motors are among the AC motors that are precise in their operation and maintain stable speeds. Synchronous motors differ from induction motors in that the rotor speed is linked directly to the frequency of the supplied AC. This is done by using magnets or windings which are developed on the rotor, a magnetic field that gets into phase with the revolving rotor. The synchronization maintains a constant speed which is necessary in some operations where the constant speed is important.
This motor has an advanced feature that includes high-speed feedback systems with a 20-bit digital encoder and Safety 4 Wire. With C - ADVANCED, motors can give 2,048 signal periods and better accuracy to increase their performance, especially in automation industries. Safety4Wire provides safety and adequate signal transmission between the motor and controller thus preventing potential failure. The standard coating allows the motor to be protected in many industrial conditions which will minimize the frequency at which the coating will have to be maintained or replaced.
The motor also has a standard coating denoted by the "N". Standard Coating is used for protecting the outer part of the motor from corrosive, abrasive, and destructive effects of its surroundings. Standard coatings are made from various paints or sealants, forming multiple layers that protect against temperature changes, moisture, and other external conditions. Due to these features, synchronous motors are used in robotics, manufacturing, and applications that need precise speed and position control. Precise control contributes to low energy use and efficiency in their operations. Motors with digital signals provide higher accuracy and real-time response mechanisms and increase the usefulness of the motor in complicated industrial applications.
