This Rexroth Bosch developed the MS2N03-D0BYN-CSSG1-NNNNN-NN motor as the newest addition to its IndraDyn S series of synchronous servo motors. This compact size 03 motor is an extraordinary model of engineering as it comes with a low inertia rotor design that provides a moment of inertia of 0.000030 kgm^2 with the braking mechanism. The motor spins at 9000 min-1 (revolutions per minute), making it one of the fastest of its kind, while the self-cooling technique doesn't require the addition of extra cooling accessories, which makes its interface simple.

This servo motor is, therefore, characterized by various technological requirements or features. The motor uses the advanced encoder system with up to 2,048 signal periods, a digital resolution of twenty bits, and is integrated with Safety4Wire. Its single turn absolute encoder gives highly accurate feedback, which is useful where high accuracy is needed. The M23 single-cable connection system eliminates the problem of complexity in wiring while the shaft finish and the integrated seal makes it suitable for different industrial conditions.
