Product Description

The Rexroth Bosch's MS2N03-D0BYN-CSDG1-NNANN-NN is a synchronous motor also known as an electric motor for which the revolutions of the rotor are consistently aligned to the speed of revolution of the magnetic field of the stator. This is different from asynchronous motors in which the rotor does not follow a magnetic field. Synchronous motors are utilized in applications where the pulse rate and position are important, such as in robots, conveyors, and industrial automation systems.

Synchronous motor operates by an AC supply that is provided to the stator which produces a rotating magnetic field. The motor provides constant torque and angular velocity, making it useful for fast rotation. Synchronous motors use standard bearings which play an important role in the high performance of motors. These bearings minimize contact between the revolving shaft and the rest of the motor components. This helps to increase the efficiency of the motor and enables it to run at high speeds with less interference from other components. It improves the performance of the motor and also minimizes the amount of stress on its various parts making it more durable as it reduces the frequent repair of the motor.

Synchronous motors have holding brakes to maintain the position of the motor when it is not supplied with power to hold the load required to be retained at a fixed position. The brake is engaged when the power is switched off, which locks the rotor and causes movement to stop. It is very useful in applications such as the elevator or the robotic arms where holding a position is mandatory all the time. The holding brakes make it safe, stable and accurately positioned, making synchronous motors reliable and efficient in industrial applications.
