With the D0BYN configuration, the MS2N03-D0BYN-CMSK1-NNANN-NN Asynchronous AC motor has a frame length of D and is designed to be low inertia. This motor offers a self-cooling method and should be installed in an open and well-ventilated area. This servo motor also comes with a single-turn absolute encoder that relies on the ACURO link digital encoder protocol. This protocol can establish a full-duplex communication channel to communicate back and forth with the encoder and the motor control module, exchanging position values as well as the temperature of the motor.
The motor has a built-in PT1000 RTD sensor to measure the temperature of the motor in the case of overheating. If the motor reaches a temperature of 140 degrees Celsius, a warning code is generated by the motor controller, and once the temperature exceeds 145 degrees Celsius, it will automatically shut down the motor, keeping it safe from electrical damage, as it has Safety Integration Level 2. This motor is rated for Thermal class F, protecting it against fires of 170 degrees Celsius.
Speaking of protection, this Asynchronous motor offers an IP 67 protection rating against dust particles and moisture levels with low-level water splashes. The maximum humidity level that this motor can withstand is 95%. The motor is designed with an anodized aluminum body, keeping it safe from oxidizing with air or letting water affect its body, causing rust, which will eventually impact the performance of the motor in the long run. This motor is rated for a maximum height of 1000 meters above sea level; any further than that will lead it to operate under derated conditions, limited to a speed of 1500 rpm.
