Part of the MS2N03 series of Asynchronous motors, the MS2N03-D0BYN-CMSH1-NNNNN-GE060N1004BN-NN is designed to provide torque for low-level robotics applications and low torque ratio gearboxes. It has an exceptional speed rating of 9000 rpm maximum. The motor design offers varying speeds for the rotor using the tacho feedback system that helps keep the motor speed regulated and can also be changed to increase the speed of the motor or set it to a specific speed by adjusting the setpoint.
To mount this motor, the MS2N03-D0BYN-CMSH1-NNNNN-GE060N1004BN-NN offers a type mounting solution that is perfect since it reduces stress on the shaft radially by keeping the load uniform on the shaft and prevents the motor from wobbling or causing excess vibration leading to internal damage in the motor or causing the motor to dismantle itself over time due to high vibration. The manufacturer recommends lubricating the motor after every 15000 cycles of use to help prolong the motor's life, and since this motor comes with a shaft seal ring, the lubrication oil does not spill out the front end of the motor. The motor comes with a 360-degree rotatable connector that allows the motor wire to be placed with flexibility.
This motor comes with an aluminum body design which not only prevents oxidation of the motor housing keeping it protected from rust, but it also provides natural convection through its body to help keep the motor coil cool when the motor is running in heavy-duty mode. In this case, if the motor coil reaches 140 degrees Celsius, the motor controller will generate a warning signal to notify the operator of the increasing temperature and will shut down automatically once it is above 145 degrees Celsius thanks to the SIL 2 safety protocol.
