Designed to be used in accuracy critical applications, the MS2N03-D0BYN-CMSH1-NNANN-NN Asynchronous motor comes with a single-turn absolute encoder that not only helps transmit position data over to the motor controller but also the internal temperature of the motor with the help of ACURO Link that provides level 2 safety integration. With the help of a PT1000 temperature sensor that can detect temperatures of up to 500 degrees Celsius, the control system on this motor is set to 140 degrees Celsius for warning and 145 degrees Celsius or above for shutting the motor.
This motor is designed to produce a speed of 5700 rotations per minute at normal operating conditions but can attain a maximum speed of 9000 rotations per minute. To control the Shaft movement, the MS2N03-D0BYN-CMSH1-NNANN-NN features a holding brake that has a holding torque of 1.8 Nm, requires 24 Volts DC to operate, and draws a current of 0.46 Amperes from the motor's power supply. The connection time of the brake is 8 ms while the disconnection time is 35 ms making the brake quick and responsive for high-speed applications.
This motor can be mounted with the help of a standard flange which is the exact size of the motor's centering diameter, helping prevent loose connections and reducing vibrations within the motor chassis when installed at high altitudes. The maximum height this motor is designed for is 1000 meters above sea level; for altitudes higher than that, this motor may operate at derated conditions which is not recommended for prolonged use as it will affect the performance and the overall quality of the motor.
