Designed for high torque applications, the MS2N03-D0BYN-CMSH0-NNNNN-NN is an Industrial Asynchronous motor that offers a maximum torque of 7.4 Nm in cold climates and 6.8 Nm in hot climates. This particular motor does not come with a cooling fan or liquid cooling option but does rely on the Natural convection cooling method and hence would require it to be installed in an open well-ventilated area to allow air to pass on to it, helping the motor cool down quickly. To detect temperature change, this servo motor comes with a PT1000 RTD temperature sensor that will send a high-temperature warning at 140 degrees Celsius and will shut the motor once it exceeds 145 degrees Celsius.
This motor comes with a 5 pole design that is generally smooth compared to a 3 pole motor, allowing for a smooth robotics experience. This motor requires 200 to 480 volts AC to operate and can work on a polyphase configuration in order to energize all the poles present in this motor. The motor's input frequency is between 50 to 60 Hz and to vary the speed of the motor based on the input voltage, users can vary the input frequency of the motor to regulate and alter the speed of the motor.
With the ACURO link digital encoder interface, this motor not only can establish communication with the single-turn encoder and the motor controller but can also help transmit shaft position and the motor temperatures over to the control driver, allowing it to make design and display errors for the operator to notice. The ACURO Link encoder interface on this motor model has Safety integration level 2.
