The MS2N03-B0BYN-CMSH0-NNNNE-GE060N2012AN-NN is an MS2N Asynchronous servo motor that is designed to provide a high rotor speed compared to its stator, hence the name asynchronous. This motor is designed to provide a nominal speed of 6470 rotations per minute and can increase it all the way up to the maximum speed of 9000 rotations per minute, allowing this motor to be used for high-speed drilling or pulley motor applications. The motor is designed primarily for drilling, as it can only provide a rotation torque of up to 14.5 Nm.
Since this motor is capable of attaining such high speeds, the MS2N03-B0BYN-CMSH0-NNNNE-GE060N2012AN-NN relies on self-cooling with a natural convection cooling method where the motor relies on ambient room temperature to help keep the motor enclosure cool. Because of this, the motor should be installed in a well-ventilated area with an ambient temperature between 0 degrees Celsius to 40 degrees Celsius. The humidity range this motor can withstand is between 10 to 90%. The motor is also IP 64 protected, keeping it safe from both dust and moisture, allowing it to be installed in challenging industrial environments without compromising quality or performance.
This motor comes with a multi-turn encoder with an absolute encoder configuration and has a resolution of 4096 increments. The encoder relies on an ACURO link interface with an added safety feature of SIL 2. The encoder interface not only transmits the position data of the shaft but also sends the current temperature of the motor coil with the help of the PT1000 RTD sensor. At 140 degrees Celsius, the motor generates a warning, and if the temperature exceeds 145 degrees Celsius, it shuts down the motor.
