Product Description
Rexroth Bosch's MS2N03-B0BYN-ASDL0-NNNNN-NN motor has the L-Keyway, with no shaft seal design. The keyway serves to interconnect the motor's shaft and the load that this motor needs to turn; and, to provide a smooth and invariable running of motor. The lack of a shaft seal means there is no separation between the exterior environment and the motor's internal parts, helpful in dust-restricted areas where less friction and readily accessible parts are desirable. It also eliminates wear from continually sealing surface friction and provides a longer operational life for the motor where environments are dry or clean.
This motor has no holding brake. It can be used when the stopping torque is not required, and the motor controller is responsible for stop and start operations. This feature simplifies the motor system by using less space, mass, and maintenance as compared to the other motors. This motor provides accuracy in positioning and control in high-torque applications. It also means that there is no problem with transitions in motion, which is often beneficial in applications such as conveyor belts or pick-and-place machines where constant force applying torque to the shaft is not needed.
The standard coating is useful as it protects these synchronous motors from minor bumps, dust, and any chemical contact in industrial conditions. This coating is normally done on the outer part of the motor and acts as the shield for the motor against all forms of wear caused by the environment. The coating also provides additional protection to the motor body thus allowing its usage in industrial applications, for instance in factories or facilities where the motors come into contact with mild chemicals or dust occasionally.
