Product Description
Rexroth Indramat Group is a well-known manufacturer of PLC systems and accessories. The company has introduced lots of different models and products to aid the motion and logic control industry. The MKE series of synchronous motors by Rexroth is meant for explosive environment, and there are quite a few models of this series.
The MKE118B-024-BP0-KE4 synchronous motor by Rexroth Indramat belongs to the strong bodied MKE family that are meant for hazardous locations. The motor model has a standard frame size of 118 while its frame length is ‘B’. The winding code of the permanent magnet motor is 024 which is a new modification in the family. The ATEX 92 motor by Rexroth features an optical encoder. The Singleturn EndDat2.1 encoder offers 2,048 increments in a second. The absolute encoder has a 13-bit resolution and it can reach maximum speed of 15,000 RPMs. The MKE118B-024-BP0-KE4 motor features a shaft with keyway as per DIN6885. In the basic model, holding brakes are not available. Electrical connections are available in the terminal box at the top of the motor. The housing design of the MKE synchronous motor conforms ATEX standard. Finally, the motor also supports cable entry of 13 mm – 16 mm.
Technically, the MKE118B-024-BP0-KE4 motor is quite efficient. It offers a continuous torque (at standstill position) of 28 Nm while its maximum torque is 102 Nm. The continuous current of the motor is 15.3 amperes (at standstill) but it can reach up to 69.1 amperes. The 7.60 ohm winding resistance of the motor is higher compared to other models. The MKE118B-024-BP0-KE4 permanent magnet motor has a weight of 45 kilograms and its maximum speed is 4000 RPM. The motor construction ensures IP65 protection and it also complies with the insulation class 155.
