Product Description
To operate under hazardous environment, Rexroth Indramat introduced synchronous and asynchronous motors. The MKE series by Rexroth Indramat Bosch Group is known for working under explosive environment. The rugged body and durable construction ensures smooth operation under extremely high temperatures. Moreover, the MKE models ensure smooth operation over a long period of time.
The MKE116B-024-NP0-KN permanent magnet motor by Rexroth Indramat is meant for hazardous areas. The specifications indicate that this particular model has been manufactured as per client’s requirements as there are quite a few modifications from the standards. To start with, the synchronous motor has a large frame size of 116 mm while the motor length is ‘B’. Large size and length calls for different winding combinations, but this model has a winding code ‘024’ which is quite common in Rexroth motors. The permanent magnet motor weighs around 65 kilograms and features four pole pairs. Normally, standard MKE motors have optical encoders with the symbol A, B, C or D, but this particular model has no encoder. The shaft of the motor has a keyway as per DIN 6885-1 and it features a sealing ring as well. Like other MKE118 models, the MKE116B-024-NP0-KN motor features electrical connection at the top. The cable entry is as per the US standard.
The MKE116B-024-NP0-KN synchronous motor has a continuous torque of 48 Nm while its maximum torque is 187.0 Nm. The winding of the permanent magnet motor offers 0.35 ohms resistance to ensure smooth flow of signals. The housing of the motor complies with the IP 65 standards for protection against dust and water. The ambient temperature of the motor is maintained below 40 degree Celsius.
