Bosch Rexroth’s MKE035B-144-GP0-KN is a synchronous motor specially designed to be used in environments that are potentially explosive. The motor is characterized by high performance data, overload protection enabled by controlling the temperature, high operation reliability, and an operation without the need for maintenance. Indramat’s MKE035B-144-GP0-KN is part of the Bosch Rexroth MKE motors. These motors conform to the guidelines specified in the ATEX and CSA/UL guidelines. To prevent damage to other industrial devices or injury to personnel, the motor should be switched on after the grounding connector has been firmly connected to every electrical component. Also, guides and covers should be installed before switching on the motor and connectors should not be plugged or removed when power to the motor is still active.
Being one of the high performance motors from Bosch Rexroth, improper wiring, incorrect usage of input and output parameters, and incorrect usage of sensors and encoders is likely to cause potentially harmful motor movements. The MKE035B-144-GP0-KN supports the use of protective coverings, light barriers, safety fences, and safety guards, to keep the motor’s range of motion clear and free to reduce or eradicate accidents, property damage, and or injury. Note that the motor should be prevented from starting unintentionally by safely bringing it to a standstill. To reach its maximum potential, the MKE035B-144-GP0-KN has to be operated in an environment with a temperature not exceeding 40 degrees Celsius.
