The MKD112C-024-KG3-AN industrial motor is one of the most advanced productions of Rexroth Indramat. This motor is a very powerful device designed to operate over a broad speed range and generate enough power for various automation systems used in industrial productions. The MKD112C-024-KG3-AN motor can be connected to a drive controller, which ensures the motor operates in accordance with the configuration parameters of the servo system. This also motor features grease-lubricated bearings; these bearings are designed to reduce friction at the motor shaft, allowing for smoother rotation. An encoder system with a resolution of 4096 is also integrated with the drive controller. The encoder contains a lithium ion battery which helps it to hold operational information even when the motor is not connected to mains.
The MKD112C-024-KG3-AN industrial motor also consists of a holding brake; the brake holds the motor shaft in place when the motor is in a de-energized state. This brake is an electrically released brake that has a holding torque of about 70 newton-meters. The motor features two main types of electrical connection; the power connection and the encoder connection. The electrical cable used in power and encoder connection enters the motor through a motor connection box which is present on the motor’s housing and is directed to side A of the motor. The motor also features special temperature sensors that constantly monitor the temperature in real-time.
