The MKD112B-024-KP2-LN is a new-generated industrial motor developed by Rexroth Indramat to generate kinetic energy in the industrial servo system. The motor is only about 375 millimeters long and 67 millimeters wide, however, it can generate enough power to satisfy the power requirement of a lot of industrial machines such as paper-processing machines, food processing machines, and lots more. The shaft of the motor features a keyway designed according to DIN 6885, this keyway balances perfectly with an entire key, the keyway helps to prevent wobbling and relative movement between the motor and the machine. The vibration severity level of the MKD112B-024-KP2-LN shaft end is according to DIN VDE 0530 level N.
The operation of the MKD112B-024-KP2-LN industrial motor is affected by the radial and axial load which acts on the motor’s shaft and grease-lubricated bearings. Although this motor can support a large amount of radial load, the operator should ensure that the motor’s shaft is not overloaded as this can cause the bearings at the motor to degenerate very quickly. The normal service life of the bearings at the motor shaft is about 30.000 hours. The MKD112B-024-KP2-LN motor features a multiturn absolute encoder that converts the movement of the motor into digital information which the drive controller can process. The encoder features a data memory that allows it to store the motor’s type name, the control loop parameters, and the motor parameters. A lithium-ion battery is integrated into the motor’s encoder to facilitate the motor’s data memory.
The MKD112B-024-KP2-LN industrial AC motor rotates at a rated speed and rated torque of about 3500 revolutions per minute, at this speed, it draws a rated current of 17.2 Amperes from the mains and can generate a power output of about 13.8 kilowatts.
