Featured with an integrated, 24 VDC holding brake and electronic commutation the MKD090B-058-KG1-KN is an AC, Synchronous Servo Motor from Rexroth Indramat MKD Series. This model is designed to operate at maximum performance either surface cooling or natural cooling mode. The MKD090B-058-KG1-KN has a rated speed of 4000 revolutions per minute and its voltage constant is 70 V/1000min-1. This 4-pole motor requires a peak current of 79.0 amperes for initial shaft break-away. The continuous torque at standstill for this motor measures around 12.0 N-m at 17.2 amperes continuous standstill current. 

The rated torque and rated current values for this motor are 8.9 N-m and 9.2 amperes respectively in natural cooling mode with 60K motor over-temperature. However, you can operate this motor to acquire a maximum torque of 12 N-m with the help of an optional surface cooling blower. Surface cooling blowers do not come standard with MKD motors but designers can opt to go with surface cooling in case if the application requires. The holding brake incorporated in this model draws around 0.71 amperes of current at 24 VDC from the servo drive controller. The brake has a clamping delay of 13 microseconds and its release delay is 30 microseconds. The weight of the brakes provided in this configuration is 1.1 kilograms.

The bearing used in the construction of MKD090B-058-KG1-KN motor has a nominal service life of 30.000 operating hours. The bearings are pre-greased and additional greasing is not required nor recommended by the vendor.
