The MKD090B-047-GP2-KN AC servo motor is also known as a permanent-magnet motor with electronic communication. The model provides continuous start-stop operation possible with high repeat frequencies due to the electrical communication. In connection with the digital intelligent drive controller by Rexroth Indramat, the digital MKD AC synchronous motor offers a cost-effective automation system with extensive functionality in different fields such as packaging machines, machine tools, handling systems, and the food industry (selected motor type “non-painted”). The MKD AC synchronous motor is intended to be used as a servo and main drive motor. The motor comes with a B05 design having he flange size of 140 mm which allows easy attachment to the machine in any permissible mounting position (IM B5, IM V1, and IM V3). The motor with natural convection cooling mode and 60K/100K overtemperature, delivers the continuous torque of 12/13.5 Nm at the continuous current of 13.3/14.4 A whereas the motor with surface cooling mode generates the continuous torque of 15 Nm at 16.6 A of current at standstill position while operating at the speed of 3200 rpm.
The model MKD090B-047-GP2-KN features a rated current of 4.8 – 11.2 A, rated voltage of 332 – 371 V, rated power of 2.7 – 6.4 kW, rated frequency of 233 Hz, and rated speed of 3500 rpm. The motor speed and position can be controlled by using digital resolve feedback which generated 4 index signals per mechanical rotation of the motor to the drive controller. A 22 Nm motor holding brake is placed in this model to hold the servo axis during the deceleration state. A rotor with a key according to DIN 6885-1 is placed in this model and the moment of inertia of the rotor is 43 × 10-4 kgm2. The thermal time constant for the model is 60 min. The permissible ambient temperature of the motor is 0 to +40 degree Celsius and it can be installed at the maximum altitude of 1000 meters above sea level.
