Product Description
MKD090B-035-GP0-KN is a Bosch Rexroth servo motor. It is part of the MKD synchronous motor series. For synchronous motors, the speed is in synch with the input current frequency. Synchronous motors maintain constant speed under varying loads and offer high efficiency. These motors allow for better control over power factors by varying the excitation supplied to the motor. MKD motors use permanent magnets that enable low rotor inertia. Low inertia enables rapid response and low energy consumption, leading to higher performance and reliability. MKD motors support electronic commutation for reliable motor operation. Additionally, electronic commutation enables MKD motor use in environments where brushed motors cannot be used due to safety concerns. The MKD090B-035-GP0-KN motor has a shaft with key. The shaft is equipped with a shaft seal.
Resolver feedback is available as a standard feature on all MKD motors. The motor housing has a standard design suited to two cooling methods: convection cooling and surface cooling. Convection cooling provides effective heat dissipation for applications with relatively low load requirements. Surface cooling uses a cooling fan to improve airflow across the motor and enable higher output torque and current. Rated speed of the MKD090B-035-GP0-KN motor is 3000 RPM for all cooling methods. However, the rated torque, current and power vary with cooling method used. The rated torque and current with convection cooling are 7.2 Nm and 4.7 Amps respectively. The rated torque and current with surface cooling are 15 Nm and 9.7 Amps respectively. Weight of the motor is 14 kilograms. Its IP65 rated housing provides robust ingress protection. Bosch recommends 0 to 40 degrees Celsius temperature and 0 to 1000 meters setup height for optimal performance.
