Product Description
MKD071B-035-KP0-KN is a Bosch Rexroth servo motor. It has a robust IP65 rated housing. This housing provides complete protection against dust ingress and strong protection against water ingress. In addition, the main motor shaft is equipped with a shaft seal. This seal provides two benefits: it prevents leakage of oil from the motor and prevents dust and water ingress via the shaft. The MKD071B-035-KP0-KN has a shaft with key that complies with DIN 6885-1. If required, operators can order plain shafts for MKD motors. The motor supports resolver feedback and is also equipped with a multiturn absolute encoder for absolute position detection. It supports two cooling methods: convection cooling and surface cooling. Compared to convection cooling, surface cooling provides better heat dissipation and higher torque and current output.
However, surface cooling requires a cooling fan. With convection cooling, the continuous output torque at standstill is 8 Nm. With surface cooling, the continuous output torque at standstill is 12 Nm. With convection cooling, the continuous output current at standstill is 6.3 Amps. With surface cooling, the continuous output current at standstill is 9.5 Amps. Speed rating of the MKD071B-035-KP0-KN motor is 2500 RPM and the maximum speed is 4500 RPM. The minimum strand cross-section, as recommended by Bosch, is 1 mm2. Thermal time constant of the motor is 45 minutes with convection cooling and 20 minutes with surface cooling. Optimal performance requires 0 to 40 degrees Celsius temperature. The temperature range for motor storage and transport is -20 to 80 degrees Celsius. Setup height of the motor should not exceed 1000 meters. Bosch does permit derated operation at setup heights of up to 3000 meters.
