MKD071B-035-KG0-KN is a servo motor. It is designed by Bosch. The motor supports a wide range of industrial applications. Its features make it an ideal choice for demanding industrial applications. The motor has an IP65 rated housing. This housing is safe from dust ingress. It is also safe from low-pressure water jets. The plain main rotor shaft on the motor is equipped with a shaft seal. This shaft seal prevents leakage of motor oil and protects the motor against dust and moisture ingress via the shaft. Integrated temperature monitoring protects the motor from overload. Electronic commutation enables continuous start-stop operation and allows operators to deploy MKD motors where brushed motors cannot be used due to safety concerns. With resolver feedback and an additional encoder, the MKD071B-035-KG0-KN motor supports absolute position detection.
MKD motors support optional holding brakes for additional safety. However, the MKD071B-035-KG0-KN motor is without an optional holding brake. Optimal performance is only possible when ambient conditions comply with manufacturer recommendation. The ideal ambient temperature range is 0 to 40 degrees Celsius. The ideal site elevation is 0 to 1000 meters. Outside these limits, the motor output derates (falls below rated value). In addition, operation under extreme ambient temperatures can lead to component malfunction or failure. The maximum permitted ambient temperature with derated output is 55 degrees Celsius. The maximum permitted site elevation with derated output is 3000 meters. Weight of the motor is 8.8 kilograms. Sealing air connectors are available for Bosch MKD motors. They are attached to the motor by replacing the motor flange socket cover. A defined overpressure inside the motor prevents ingress of liquids such as cooling liquid or lubricants.
