MKD025B-144-KG0-KN is a Bosch Rexroth servo motor from the MKD series. It has an IP65 rated housing. The benefit of this housing is that it provides complete protection against dust ingress. The housing also provides strong protection against moisture directed at the housing from low-pressure jets. The motor shaft has a plain design and features a sealing ring. The shaft seal protects motor bearings from environmental contaminants and improves motor bearing reliability. Electronic commutation, combined with strong ingress protection, ensure maintenance-free motor operation. The required ambient temperature for MKD motor operation is 0 to 40 degrees Celsius. The required site elevation is 0 to 1000 meters. Rated output depends on ambient conditions complying with these specified ranges. The rated output torque is 0.31 Nm and the rated output current is 1.2 Amps.
The continuous torque at standstill is 0.9 Nm and the continuous current at standstill is 5.1 Amps. Speed rating of the MKD025B-144-KG0-KN motor is 5000 RPM and the peak speed is 9000 RPM. Power output rating of the motor is 0.2 kilowatts. The rated voltage is 94.7 Volts and the rated frequency is 250 Hertz. Bosch recommends cables with minimum 1 mm2 cross-section for the motor power cable. Use of substandard or a thinner power cable can lead to equipment damage and/or injury. Mass of the servo motor is 2 kilograms. MKD motors support optional holding brakes. However, the MKD025B-144-KG0-KN is without an optional brake. A type label is attached to the motor housing. A second type label is stuck to the original type label on the motor housing, using double-sided tape. This second type label can be put so that it is visible on the machine.
