Product Description
Bosch Rexroth MKD motor is available in B05 design, which allows for mounting in all orientations. The MKD025A-144-KG0-UN is mounted in different positions- vertically or horizontally facing up or down. If the servo motor is mounted facing up, liquids should not accumulate at the motor shafts. The MKD is supplied with an optional radial or axial blower used for cooling. When using a blower unit, the motor should not be subjected to heavy shock loads during operations such as; presses, punches, and portal loading. In operations with heavy loads, it is advisable to use a servo motor with higher torque and those without surface cooling. The MKD motor is operated at an ambient temperature ranging from 0 ºC up to +45 ºC. Installation should be at 0m to 1000m above mounting sea level.
The MKD025A-144-KG0-UN is supplied with or without a holding brake for stopping the motor axis. The holding brake wears off after an approximated 20.000 motor revolutions; therefore, it should not be used as a braking system to hold a moving axis. The spindle motor shafts have an open design that allows for a friction-free connection to a drive controller. Use clamping tools to couple the machine elements to the motor shaft.
The design of the MKD motor complies with the degree of protection according to DIN VDE 0470. The protection class used during the design and manufacture of the servo motor is identified by the symbol IP. The MKD025A-144-KG0-UN protection class is IP65, which offers the following: protection against dust, electrical shock, splashing water, and protection against penetration by solid objects with more than 12 mm diameter. This unit can be shipped globally with a one-year warranty period from Wake Industrial.
