Product Description
Bosch Rexroth manufactures the MKD025A-144-GG0-UN with an optional holding brake for clamping the axis of the servo motor when the machine is at a halt. The holding brake operates through an electrical release principle. When the servo motor is in a de-energized state, a magnetic force holds the amateur disk to close the holding brake and the motor axis. A release occurs by applying 24 VDC of electrically generated magnetic field on the holding brake. The servo motor is a permanent magnet motor designed with magnetic materials that give it low mass. The MKD motor has the following features: high operational reliability, a brushless design that allows for maintenance-free operation, an IP 65 degree of protection, and overload protection. The motor is used in applications that involve: Automation and handling, packaging and food-processing machines, and Printing and paper-processing machines.
The electric connections for the MKD motor are standardized and are available in different connectors: the power connector, which includes power connections for the holding brake and temperature sensor, an encoder connection. Both electrical connections can be through a separate plug-in connector or a connection box, depending on the user preference. A sealant for the air connector is used with the MKD025A-144-GG0-UN. The sealing air connector is installed by replacing the motor flange socket cover and is used in reducing overpressure that occurs inside the motor shafts. The seal also prevents the penetration of liquids and lubricants into the electric components of the servo motor. When mounting the motor flange with the air seal connector, confirm that the O-rings sit on the flange socket covers. The air-seal connector does not come with the servo motor and is purchased separately as an accessory. This unit can be shipped globally with a one-year warranty period from Wake Industrial.
