Product Description
Bosch Rexroth designs and manufactures its drive and motion control units with the most innovative technological features. The company designs the high-performance synchronous motors of the MHD series. These servo motors have low inertia masses and come in a wide range of speeds and frame sizes. They are used as the main drive and servo motors in equipment such as machine tools, food processing and packaging machines, paper processing, printing machines, and handling and automation systems.
The MHD115C-058-PP0-AN is an MHD permanent magnet servo motor developed by Bosch Rexroth. It is a maintenance-free motor with a brushless design and bearings that stay grease-lubricated throughout their operational lifetime. Equipped with electronic commutation, its peak torque of 231 Nm can be utilized across a wide speed range, and it can achieve a maximum speed of 6,000 revolutions per minute. It uses a digital servo feedback system with an integrated multiturn absolute encoder to control the motor's speed and detect its position. The integrated encoder also features a data memory that aids the quick startup of the motor and its synchronization with its drive controller.
The cooling of the MHD115C-058-PP0-AN is by natural cooling and surface cooling. Heat is also effectively dissipated from its stator windings to the housing wall, giving it a high overload capability. A thermal sensor is present to protect it from harmful thermal overload conditions. Also, it can be used for high dynamics operations. Since it has electrical commutation, it can be used for continuous start-stop operation with high repeat frequencies. The maximum permissible ambient temperature for the motor’s operation is 40 oC, and the maximum height at which it must be set up is 1000 m.
