Product Description
The Bosch Rexroth MHD115C-058-PG1-BA is a synchronous motor. It is a MHD series motor which is made with permanent magnets and features electronic commutation. The use of special magnets allows MHD motors to have low inertia mass. MHD motors are used in combination with drive controllers for applications such as machine tools, handling, automation and printing machines. Drive controllers used with the motors have to be programmed before startup. Bosch only permits use of accessories that have been approved and are specified in the product documentation. MHD motors may not be operated if the operating conditions do not comply with environmental conditions specified in the documentation or if the fields of application have not been expressly released for the motors by Rexroth. The operating MHD115C-058-PG1-BA carries high voltages and should be disconnected from power before any maintenance activity.
The MHD115C-058-PG1-BA supports a 70 nm rated holding brake. This brake operates at 24 Volts DC and draws 1.29 Amps. The connection and disconnection times for the brake are 53 milliseconds and 97 milliseconds respectively. Weight of the holding brake on the motor is 3.8 kilograms. Weight of the MHD115C-058-PG1-BA motor itself is 55 kilograms. The centering diameter and length of the MHD115C-058-PG1-BA are 180 millimeters and 522 millimeters respectively. The diameter of the plain motor shaft is 38 millimeters and approximately 80 millimeters of the motor shaft is outside the motor housing. The shaft on the MHD115C-058-PG1-BA includes a sealing ring which contributes to the excellent IP65 protection rating of the motor. The MHD115C-058-PG1-BA motor supports digital servo feedback with an integrated multi-turn absolute encoder. The motor housing is designed for natural convection and surface cooling.
