The MHD series of servo motors are designed for solving automation challenges in the most hitch-free manner possible. It displays a high degree of functionality with a wide range of features such as electronic commutation, high dynamics, and high-performance data. It can be used to create servo and main drives used in applications such as machine tools and handling and mounting systems.
The MHD115C-035-PG1-AN is an MHD synchronous servo motor equipped with digital servo feedback with an integrated multiturn absolute encoder. This encoder controls the speed and position of the motor by delivering the required signals to the motor’s drive controller, which transfers the positional value to a CNC or SPS. It has a data memory where the motor type name, the control loop parameters, and the motor parameters are stored. This data is processed by the drive controller and ensures the quick startup of the motor and its safe adjustment to the drive controller. This MHD motor is operated maintenance-free, and this is facilitated by the motor’s brushless design and lifetime-lubricated bearings.
The heat generated during the operation of the MHD115C-035-PG1-AN is effectively transferred from its windings to the walls of its housing. This gives it a high overload capability. The housing has an IP 65 Ingress Protection rating and is coated with a black prime coat in a/w RAL. This coating is resistant to weathering, coloring, chalking, diluted acids, and diluted ryes. The motor has a characteristic speed of 3,000 revolutions per minute and a maximum speed of 4,500 revolutions per minute. Its theoretical maximum torque is 231Nm, and it has 4 pole pairs. It is cooled by natural convection and surface cooling.
