Product Description
When Indramat’s intelligent digital drive controllers are combined with the permanent magnet motors of the MHD series, high-performance automation systems are formed. These systems display extensive functionality in applications, including machine tools, printing and paper industries, handling and automation systems, and packaging and food processing machines. The MHD motors are characterized by their brushless design, lifetime lubricated bearings, and high overload capability. They also have favorable torque to inertia mass ratios.
The MHD115C-024-NG0-AN is a model of the synchronous motors in Bosch Rexroth’s MHD series. It is designed with a flange size of 192mm and a centering diameter of 180mm, with its frame size indicated as 115. Electronic commutation is a feature of this motor that makes it suitable for continuous start-stop operations with high repetition frequencies. It also features a low inertia mass due to the use of unique permanent magnet materials in its construction. The rated speed of this motor is 2,000 revolutions per minute, but it can attain a maximum speed of 4,000 revolutions per minute.
Thanks to the data storage capability of the encoder of the MHD115C-024-NG0-AN, the motor adjusts safely to its drive controller and can be started quickly. This encoder system is digital servo feedback, and it uses the optical measurement method. Its system accuracy is ±0.5 angular minutes, and it detects the relative indirect position of the motor. It also eliminates the need for a separate incremental encoder. There is no holding brake in this MHD motor, but it is equipped with a plain shaft with a shaft sealing ring. The plain shaft provides a friction-locked shaft hub connection without play and ensures the smooth running of the motor.
