Product Description
Bosch Rexroth creates drive solutions using the most innovative technologies available, and this reflects in its MHD motors. These servo motors are built with unique permanent magnet materials that give them low inertia masses. When they are combined with the digital drive controllers from Indramat, cost-effective, rapid-response automation systems are created. The applications of such systems are packaging and food processing machines, printing and paper industries, and machine tools.
The MHD115B-058-PP0-BA is a permanent magnet servo motor in Bosch Rexroth’s MHD series. It is built with a high overload capability as the heat generated during its operation is effectively dissipated from its stator windings to the walls of its housing. This housing is completely sealed and cannot be penetrated by dust and other solid extrinsic objects or water jets. As a result, the Ingress Protection rating of the motor according to EN 60529 is IP 65, and it can be used under adverse environmental conditions. Heat dissipation in this motor can be achieved by natural convection or surface cooling, and the direction of its power connection is to its B side.
Bearings of the MHD115B-058-PP0-BA remain lubricated throughout their service life of 30,000 operating hours. They are also designed for high radial loads; hence, they support the direct overhung mounting of pinions and pulleys. The maximum speed of this MHD motor is 6,000 revolutions per minute, and it has four pole pairs. Its integrated encoder system is digital servo feedback with an integrated multi-turn absolute encoder which eliminates the need for separate absolute value encoders. The encoder features a data memory for facilitating the rapid start-up of the motor and its safe adaptation to its drive controller.
