Product Description
Bosch Rexroth’s MHD series is a family of synchronous motors used to build ultra-efficient and rapid-response automation systems. This is achieved when the motors are combined with the intelligent digital drive controllers from Indramat. The automation systems are extensively used in multiple applications such as printing and paper industries, machine tools, packaging and food processing machines, and handling and automation systems. MHD motors also have high-performance data and overload capacity.
The MHD115B-058-PG1-RN is a model of the permanent magnet synchronous servo motors in the MHD series by Bosch Rexroth. It is built with unique magnet materials that give it a low inertia mass and electronic commutation. As a result, it can be safely used for continuous start-stop operations with high repetition rates. The motor also features a brushless design and is equipped with bearings that stay lubricated throughout their operational lifetime. These bearings are also designed for high radial loads; hence, they allow the direct overhung mounting of pinions and pulleys. Thanks to these, the motor can be operated maintenance-free within limits specified by the manufacturer.
Using the optical measurement method, the encoder system of the MHD115B-058-PG1-RN ensures that the speed and position of the motor are determined precisely. This encoder is digital servo feedback with an integrated multiturn absolute encoder of ±0.5 angular minutes system accuracy. The motor’s shaft is a plain one with a shaft sealing ring designed according to DIN 3760 - Design A. Its holding brake of 70Nm ensures that the servo axis of this MHD model can be clamped when the machine is in a de-energized state. In addition, its housing design supports cooling by natural convection and liquid cooling.
