The Bosch MHD115B-058-NG1-BN is a synchronous servo motor. It is especially designed and developed for industrial applications. In connection with digital drive controllers, the motor is widely deployed for applications that include machine tools, packaging machines and automation. The brushless design and bearing that are lubricated for the complete service life of the motor make MHD motors maintenance free. MHD motors can be installed in any desired position. Cable sets are available in various designs because of which MD motors are easy to cable. MHD motor are also easy to startup because of the data memory in the encoder unit. The MHD115B-058-NG1-BN supports digital servo feedback. The main motor shaft is plain and is fitted with a sealing ring. The motor also includes a 70 Nm rated holding brake.

Rated voltage and current for the holding brake are 24 Volts DC and 1.29 Amps respectively. The brake moment of inertia is 0.003 kg m². Connection and release times for the holding brake are 53 milliseconds and 97 milliseconds respectively. The weight of the motor holding brake is 3.8 kilograms. When used with natural convection the rated motor speed is 1500 RPM. When used with liquid cooling the rated motor speed is 4000 RPM. The MHD115B-058-NG1-BN motor is a flange mounted device. Its flange size is 192 millimeters and its centering diameter is 180 millimeters. The power socket on the motor is on side B of the housing.
