Product Description
Bosch Rexroth’s MHD series of servo motors create highly functional and rapid-response automation systems when they are combined with Indramat digital drive controllers. These maintenance-free motors have a unique brushless design and are also used as servo and main drive motors. Their common areas of application are machine tools, printing and paper industries, packaging and food processing machines, and automation and handling systems.
The MHD115B-024-NG1-BN is a synchronous servo motor in Bosch Rexroth’s MHD family of servo motors. It features digital servo feedback as its integrated encoder system for the detection of its relative indirect position. The information obtained by this encoder is transferred to the drive controller to control the motor’s speed and position. Thanks to the nature of the permanent magnets used to design this MHD motor, it has a low-inertia mass and a favorable torque to inertia mass ratio. In addition, its electronic commutation feature makes it suitable for continuous start-stop operations with high repeat frequencies.
Commissioning the MHD115B-024-NG1-BN can be done rapidly due to the data memory in its encoder. This feature also ensures that it adapts safely to its drive controller. The motor’s housing is completely sealed and does not admit dust or sprays from water jets. As a result, its Ingress Protection rating is IP 65 according to EN 60529. It can achieve a maximum speed of 4,000 revolutions per minute and has a theoretical maximum torque of 160.0Nm. There are thermal sensors in its windings that alert users of potentially harmful thermal overload conditions. This motor should be operated at an ambient temperature that ranges between 0oC and 40oC and set up at a maximum height of 1000m.
