Product Description
The MHD motors by Bosch Rexroth serve as servo and main drive motors and are used in conjunction with intelligent drive controllers, also from Bosch Rexroth, to create cost-effective automation systems with a wide range of applications. They can be used in machine tools, printing and paper-processing machines, packaging and food-processing machines, and automation and handling systems. These motors are permanent-magnet motors whose magnets are made from rare earth materials. They also have electronic commutation and high cyclic overload capacity.
The MHD115B-024-NG1-AN is equipped with an electrically-released holding brake with holding torque of 70.0 Nm. This holding brake clamps the servo axis when the machine is disconnected from power. The motor’s integrated encoder system is digital servo feedback used for relative indirect position detection with a system accuracy of ±0.5 angular minutes. This encoder promotes the rapid start-up of the motor and its safe adaptation to its drive controller. The MDD motor has two electrical connections: the power connector and the encoder connector. Its power connector includes connections for the temperature sensor and the holding brake.
The electronic commutation of the MHD115B-024-NG1-AN makes it suitable for continuous start-stop operations with high repeat frequencies. It is a liquid-cooled motor that supports a high performance even at extreme loads. Owing to favorable heat dissipation from its stator windings to the outside wall of its housing, the motor also has a high overload capability. It should be operated at a maximum ambient temperature of 40°C and relative humidity of 95%. Its installation is easy and can be done in any desired position; however, it should be installed at a maximum height of 1000m above sea level.
