Product Description
The MHD motors by Bosch Rexroth are designed to be used in conjunction with intelligent Indramat controllers to create cost-effective automated solutions with extensive functionality for several fields of application. Their typical fields of application include machine tools, printing and paper-processing machines, packaging and food-processing machines, and automation and handling systems. They are the preferred motor series for these operations because they have several advantages, including high operational reliability, high dynamics, high-performance data, and several others.
The MHD115B-024-NG1-AA has an integrated optical motor encoder system which is the digital servo feedback for detecting the relative indirect position of the motor. It has two electrical connections, the power connector, and the encoder connector. The power connector includes connections for the temperature sensor and the holding brake. A holding brake required for holding the axle when the machine is in a de-energized state is built into this motor. Its temperature sensor protects the motor from damage by thermal overload. This motor is also characterized by a high overload capability because it is surface-cooled with heat effectively removed from its stator windings to the outside wall of its housing.
The housing of the MHD115B-024-NG1-AA is completely closed with an IP 65 degree of protection, allowing the motor to function under adverse environmental conditions. The degree of protection means it has complete shock protection and is protected against the penetration of dust and sprays from water jets. Because of its brushless design and bearings, which are grease-lubricated for the entire service life, the motor runs a maintenance-free operation. Its housing varnish is a prime black coat, and it protects the motor against damage from weathering, coloring, chalking, diluted acids, and lyes.
