Digital drive controllers by Indramat form rapid-response automation systems when combined with the MHD series of servo motors. These versatile servo motors have high operational reliability and have a wide range of applications in factory automation. These include handling and automation systems, machine tools, packaging and food processing machines, and printing and paper industries.
The MHD115B-024-NG0-RN is one of the permanent magnet-excited motors in the MHD series designed and manufactured by Bosch Rexroth. It has a flange size of 192mm and a centering diameter of 180mm. Due to its brushless design and lifetime-lubricated bearings, the motor can be operated maintenance-free. These bearings have a service lifetime of 30,000 operating hours and support the direct mounting of pinions and belt pulleys. The encoder system here is digital servo feedback equipped with a data memory for the motor’s rapid startup and its safe adjustment to its drive controller. It has a system accuracy of ±0.5 angular minutes and works with the optical measuring principle.
Cooling is achieved by natural convection and liquid cooling in the MHD115B-024-NG0-RN. The motor has a temperature monitoring system with thermal sensors in its windings to prevent damage from thermal overload. It also features a plain shaft with a shaft sealing ring designed according to DIN 3760 - Design A. The motor’s maximum speed is 4,000 revolutions per minute while its maximum torque is 160.0Nm Thanks to its completely sealed housing, it can be safely used under poor environmental conditions. It has an Ingress Protection rating of IP 65 based on the EN 60529 standard, meaning that it is touch-proof, dust-proof, and shock-proof. In addition, it is impervious to sprays from water jets.
