Product Description
With the creation of the MHD series of servo motors, rapid-response automation systems can now be built by integrating them with digital drive controllers from Indramat. Such automation systems have extensive functionality and are used for applications including machine tools, automation and handling systems, packaging and food processing machines, and printing and paper industries.
The MHD115B-024-NG0-RA is a maintenance-free servo motor in the MHD series by Bosch Rexroth. It features a brushless design and radial bearings that are lubricated throughout their service life. These bearings support high radial loads and the direct overhung mounting of pinions and belt pulleys. Due to its electronic commutation feature, its peak torque is utilizable across a wide speed range, and it can be used for continuous start-stop operations with high repeat frequencies. It is also built with a plain shaft with a shaft sealing ring designed according to DIN 3760 - Design A. This shaft provides a friction-locked shaft-hub connection and smooth running.
Heat is dissipated from the MHD115B-024-NG0-RA by natural convection and surface cooling. It has a high overload capability and thermal sensors in its windings to protect it from damage. Its encoder is digital servo feedback with a system accuracy of ±0.5 angular minutes. The encoder detects the relative indirect position of the motor and eliminates the need for separate incremental encoders. With an Ingress Protection rating of IP 65, this MHD model cannot be penetrated by solid extrinsic objects or sprays from water jets. Its maximum speed is 4,000 revolutions per minute, while its maximum torque is 160.0Nm. It must be operated at an ambient temperature between 0oC and 40oC and installed at a maximum height of 1000m.
